Lost & Found

The Lost and Found Department is located in our Parking Office at 119 Hammes Mowbray Hall, Notre Dame IN 46556-5675. Between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday thru Friday, Students, Faculty, Staff and Visitors are encouraged to inquire about lost or misplaced articles. You may inquire in person or you can phone at (574) 631-5036. Correspondence can be sent via e-mail to lost@nd.edu or through standard mail to Lost and Found, 119 Hammes Mowbray Hall, Notre Dame IN 46556-5675.

Each academic building on campus, has its own Lost and Found, located in the deans’ office. During the school year, regular pickups are scheduled twice a month.

All items will be held for 30 days minimum at which time they will be disposed of by donating to a charitable organization such as clothing (St. Vincent DePaul) and eyeglasses/sunglasses (Lions Club, St Joseph Hospital). Proper identification on your valuables, such as an e-mail address or telephone number helps us return your property to you. Anyone claiming property at the lost and found area must show Notre Dame ID or a driver’s license. University ID’s will be returned to the Card Services Office, 001 South Dining Hall (574) 631-7814.
